Must have a working webcam and microphone. Smartphones and laptops generally have both. The state's requirement for Continuing Education classes over videoconference is that participants remain visible on their webcam so the Instructor can monitor continued attendance.

Requirement for Continuing Education in Oregon:
- General Journeyman: 24 hours, of which at least 8 hours must be Code Change and 4 hours Oregon Rule & Law.
- General Supervising: 24 hours, of which at least 12 hours must be Code Change and 4 hours Oregon Rule & Law.
- Limited Residential: 16 hours, of which at least 8 hours must be Code Change and 4 hours Oregon Rule & Law.

Testing for the California Electrical Certification Exam is now available in Medford. The new test site is at the RCC/SOU campus in downtown Medford. They currently have only one 2002 Code book available for testing, but will have more in the future.
