   OREGON ELECTRIC TEST PREP PRESENTS:
SUPERVISOR TEST PREP COURSE

WHO: All General Journeyman and Plant Journeyman Electricians that want to pass the Supervisor’s exam on the first try.

WHAT:  Test prep class for the General and Limited Electrical Supervisor License.

WHEN: July 18, 19, 20, and 22. Tue, Wed, Thur. 5-9pm, Sat 9am-4pm, July 25, 26, 27, and 29. Tue, Wed, Thur. 5-9pm, Sat 9am-4pm.

CEU Credit:  24 Hours for Oregon License holders.

Cost:  $1,185 - $1,300

Materials Needed: 2020 NEC (Handbook preferred), Ugly’s, calculator, scratch paper, and key word index.

IInstructor: Shawn Haggin has worked as a Journeyman electrician for 30+ years, and was the Assistant Chief Electrical Inspector for the State of Oregon for 4 years.

Information: Students will learn NEC navigation, guidance with OAR and ORS use, and competence with the calculations that are on the 4-hour Supervisor’s Exam.

 

Electrical license exam guidelines

Background:

Oregon Revised Statutes (ORS) 479.630 requires an individual seeking electrical licensure to pass an examination prepared by the Electrical and Elevator Board and administered by the division. The Electrical and Elevator Board adopted the following guidelines for materials that a candidate may use during these examinations.

Electrical license examination guidelines:

A candidate sitting for an electrical license examination may use the following publications and materials:

  • National Electrical Code/NFPA-70 and errata with Oregon amendments
  • National Electrical Code Handbook
  • Oregon Revised Statutes chapter 479
  • Oregon Administrative Rules Division 918
  • American Electrician's Handbook
  • Electrical Black Book
  • Ugly's Electrical - References
  • Ferm's Fast Finder Index
  • Tom Henry's Key Word Index
  • A silent, no-printing, non-programmable calculator

The published materials listed above may be altered for the use of the candidate, including the presence or attachment of tabs or personal, hand- written or printed notes within the margins of the above materials. Practice tests and class prep materials are not allowed. Any materials not on the approved list will be removed by the proctor.

The use of any other published materials or electronics is prohibited.
