NJATC APTITUDE TEST
Location: PACIFIC POWER, Lloyd Learning Center Computer Lab. Portland
Cost: $12.00 / Check or Cashier’s Check ONLY – No Cash will be accepted.
We are offering an opportunity to take the NJATC Aptitude Test. Scheduled dates are:
- Thursday, September 19, 2019 @ 1pm
- Friday, September 20, 2019 @ 9am
To request to take the NJATC test please complete a Pacific Power Application for NJATC test and return to email@example.com. Requests to take the test must be received no later than Friday, September 13, 2019.
NOTE! National Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee policy requires that all individuals show a photo ID prior to taking the test.
THE NJATC APTITUDE TEST
Consists of 2 sections: Algebra and Functions, and Reading Comprehension. It will take approximately 2.5 hours to complete the 2-part test. The test is scored on a stanine scale of 1 to 9 with 5 as average. In accordance with the NJATC policy, an applicant can only test once every 6 months. You are encouraged to prepare for this test with basic review of algebraic functions and with attention to your comprehensive reading skills.
Preparing for your test:
Reading Comprehension: To study for the reading portion of the test, it is recommended that you read information and have the ability to recall what you have read either by answering questions or having someone quiz your memory.
Algebra and Functions: To study for the math portion of the test, it is recommended that you review Algebra 1 only. There are a variety of study materials on the Internet for additional practice.
