The position of Apprentice Lineman, 1st 6 Months, at Central Lincoln’s Florence location is open for bid from April 14, 2021 through April 27, 2021.
The Apprentice Lineman, 1st 6 Months will assist in the installation, maintenance, removal, and repair of equipment on overhead or underground electrical lines under the direction of a Journeyman Lineman in accordance with safety and construction standards and regulations for a three and a half year (minimum 7,000 hours on the job training) apprentice period.
Minimum Qualifications:

Possess a Class A State of Oregon CDL or attain within 6 months of hire

High school graduate or have a GED certificate of equivalency

Must have completed one year of high school algebra or equivalent with a passing grade of ‘C’ or better

Must pass the NJATC screening exam with a minimum score of 4 or higher

Successfully complete a 10-day climbing school at Camp Rilea or have graduated from an accredited line school.
The hourly rate of pay for an Apprentice Lineman, 1st 6 Months as of April 1, 2021 is $36.72.

The position of Journeyman Maintenance Wireman at the NOC is open for bid from March 9, 2021 until the position is filled, with the first review of applications March 22, 2021.
The Journeyman Maintenance Wireman will install, construct, troubleshoot, repair, dismantle, adjust, replace, and test equipment used in the operation of an electric utility transmission and distribution system including substations.
This position requires successful completion of a three-year approved Maintenance Wireman Apprenticeship or equivalent that includes passing the IBEW Exam.
The hourly rate of pay for a Journeyman Maintenance Wireman as of April 1, 2020 is $52.56.

Only hours worked at SUB will be counted toward the apprenticeship.

The position of Journeyman Lineman at Central Lincoln’s Northern Operations Center is open for bid, effective 11/10/2020 until the position is filled.
The Journeyman Lineman will work as a member of a crew to construct, install, repair, troubleshoot and maintain electrical power systems, transmission, distribution, overhead, underground, and fiber optic cable. Repair or replace defective high and low voltage conductors, insulators, equipment and related hardware. Install and/or replace overhead and underground transformers and switches. Prepare and set line poles, structures and towers. Transfer energized and de-energized wire, equipment and guys from damaged or decaying facilities to new facilities. Install and maintain wire and cable for overhead and underground systems. Assist in training apprentices.
This position requires successful completion of a three and a half year (3 ½) approved line apprenticeship or equivalent that includes qualifying as a Journeyman Lineman recognized by Local Union #659.
The hourly rate of pay for a Journeyman Lineman as of April 1, 2020 is $50.93.
